These older-style PHPscripts do not seem to have that "mis-writing"
problem that the PHPscripts tried on the PRJboard do....I'm writing this
post to be fairly wide, and long....just the type of posts that seem to
throw the PRJboard scripts for a loop....
....
I say "PRJboard scripts" because I've tried several different versions
of the evolving boardPHPscripts that Glenn has evolved and I have then
adapted...
...
This post should post okay, and NOT give any "^@" overwrite when I press
the SEND/REFRESH button...

gregy, That ^@ is used in my editor to represent an ALT+(some key).
I don't know if that is significant or is a universal code application.

Eric....I don't think so.....where it is showing up is in the POSTSfile
(where these posts are stored on the server after we SEND/REFRESH to
send them to the "board"...
...
This board is running an "old-version" of the PHPscript that Glenn wrote
and that I adapted (actually Colby "True" wrote it, Glenn adapted it,
and I re-adapted it)...this PHPscript has never overwritten anything in
the POSTSfile with "CTRL-@" ...(which is what that "^@" represents)..
...
On the PRJboard (one you are not familiar with)...the PHPscript is
from the newer-version series, that is currently running on the MISC
board and TESTERS1 board...
...
On Hi-line.net...these newer PHPscripts have never exhibited any
tendency to overwrite ^@, either....
...
It is only on this (AVA) server, on the PRJ board, that this has showed
up. It doesn't show up on this board, because (I suppose) this board
is running one of the old-style PHPscripts and not the newer model..

And, notice that this board seems to be successfully posting the posts
and not mis-writing the POSTS file, either...

Yes, I see...it's doing it here, too. We'll see if this post is
posted correctly
